A 3-day route — a journey focused on the riding experience, covering Transfagarasan, the most striking curving route of the Carpathian Mountains.
Leaving Istanbul, we cross into Romania via Bulgaria on the flowing roads of Thrace. Crossing the Danube, the rhythm of the road gradually changes as we continue on Romania's calm rural roads; moving from wide, flowing stretches to more winding roads, we reach Curtea de Arges, the starting point of Transfagarasan.
Today awaits perhaps the most unforgettable ride of the tour, and possibly of the entire journey. As we climb into the Carpathians, consecutive curves, sharp hairpins, long climbs and constantly changing vistas bring our line and rhythm on the motorcycle to the forefront. The view grows as we climb towards Balea Lake; after completing our crossing amid the striking scenery of high altitude, we return to Curtea de Arges along the same unique route.
Leaving the Carpathians behind, we begin our return journey. On the long ride from Romania's flowing roads to the Danube, then through Bulgaria and Thrace back to Istanbul, we complete our journey carrying the traces of three days of curves, climbs and Carpathian views.
Breakfast is included with accommodation. Lunch and dinner take place at planned stops along the route, according to participants' own preferences.
This tour is at a Moderate / Hard riding level. Covering approximately 1,730 km in three days, with long daily stages, mountain roads, intense curves, high altitude and varied road character, participants are required to have sufficient motorcycle riding experience.
Participants are advised to have completed Safe and Advanced Riding training beforehand.
Participants must hold a valid passport for the duration of their travel dates and must have obtained the necessary visa or travel permits for entry into Bulgaria and Romania in advance. Verifying the validity and adequacy of passports, visas and other official travel documents is the participant's own responsibility.
The tour programme may be changed for operational reasons depending on weather, road and border-crossing conditions.
